Spring is the season of birth and growth, yet you might feel easily fatigued, have dry eyes, or feel irritable. Don’t worry, your “Liver Qi” might be too strong or stuck!
In TCM theory, Spring belongs to the “Wood” element, corresponding to the “Liver”. This is the season Liver Qi is most active and needs care!
Following seasonal principles sets a foundation for year-round health. We’ve simplified TCM theory into easy wellness points for you. Save this image! 👇👇👇
Spring Liver Care, Master Three Principles:
- Sleep well, feel good: Never stay up late, it’s super damaging to the liver! Keep a cheerful mind, don’t keep emotions bottled up.
- Move a bit, smooth Qi and Blood: Choose gentle walking, stretching exercises, avoid strenuous exercise. Let your body gently stretch and unfold.
- Eat right, less burden: Keep diet light, master “less sour, more sweet” and eat more yam, jujube, deep-green leafy vegetables.
Editor’s Key Diet Point: If you often feel dry eyes or overuse them, Gouqi (Wolfberry) Spinach Pig’s Liver Soup is a great choice!
TCM Doctor’s Reminder
Although Spring is suitable for nurturing the liver, do not try random “heavy supplementation” yourself! Wellness is about flowing with the seasons. If you have deeper needs for body tuning, such as long-term fatigue, poor complexion, or wish to strengthen hair roots (the liver stores blood, and hair is the excess of blood), welcome to Oriental Medical Care for an appointment, let us customize the most suitable Spring wellness plan for you!
