This year’s cold/flu season seems especially serious. Our clients are complaining of symptoms like diarrhea, sinus trouble, headache, sore throat, excessive phlegm…etc.

Here I have a germ fighting tea recipe that I would love to share with you. I love this tea very much and I found in addition to being so tasty, it produces amazing results!

Wen Shu’s Flu Infusion

Tea Ingredients:

half fist of ginger
3 cloves of garlic
1 whole white onion
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 frozen yellow lemon (sliced, unpeeled)
water (up to 9 cups)

For Serving:

honey to taste
mint leaves

Wen Shu’s Flu Infusion

Instructions:

  1. Slice your lemon and freeze it. Once lemon is frozen; take it out and begin.
  2. Put all of the tea ingredients (including frozen lemon) with one cup of water (or more) into the blender (if you don’t have a blender or you don’t want to blend; you can just skip this).
  3. Pour mixture into a pot and add one more cup of water (you can put more than one cup of water now or add water as you want to make more cups later. Usually I make about 2 litres of tea for quick results). Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down and simmer for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Drain the liquid into a cup.

Now you are ready to drink! Pour into your cup and add mint leaves and honey to taste. Enjoy it. Keep yourself warm.

NOTE: Don’t throw away the dregs, they can be used as a wonderful spice for cooking! Place dried dregs in a pot with oil, simmer until browned, then add chicken, shrimp or veggies to make a tasty dish.
