About Chinese yam
Chinese yam (Huai Shan/Shan Yao) has been treasured in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries as a nourishing food-herb that strengthens digestion, supports lung and kidney health, and gently builds vitality.

Chinese Yam is highly suitable for people with weak spleen and stomach, those prone to fatigue, chronic cough, or chronic diarrhea.

Dried yam (huai shan/shan yao) is better than fresh at regulating the spleen and stomach and astringing the body, and it is particularly effective in improving qi deficiency and boosting immunity.
